First of the bat, let me say this as a disclaimer. I love the og Percy Jackson series. Secondly, my fav character is Nico and then the Percy from the og series.

Do you know why I make this distinction? Because, Heroes of Olympus ruined Percy's basic characteristics.

Just think, this is the percy who was bullied in almost every school he attended (except, maybe, Goode). Even, camp half blood,till he came back from the first quest. This is the guy with so strong a sense of loyalty that he was willing to get into trouble with the teachers for Grover when they studied together, was willingly an outcast because he would rather be friends with the one guy everyone picked on and thus be bullied himself. He was pretty excited to have a brother once he got over the whole Cyclops thing, too. This is the same guy who spent all his free time looking for a runaway kid who said he hated him. Maybe it was out of misplaced guilt. Maybe it was due to the fact this guy big brothered everyone he could get away with. (Atleast, I felt like that.)

While we're on that issue. Was Nico right to blame Percy for Bianca's death? Absolutely, not. But he was also a grieving ten year old who just lost his only family (even though she had, in a way, already left him behind. But that's an entirely different rant on the Hunters as an institutions. Bianca was also a child, remember.). And considering that Nico changed his tune once he found the truth out and even helped Percy and the camp willingly afterwards, I like to think he more than made up for that mistake.

There's even a part where Percy refuses to burden Nico with the prophesy and claims it for himself. Considering that till then he was trying not to even think about it, I believe we can easily claim that Nico was in some ways important to Percy. Maybe not in the same way his Mom, Annabeth Or Grover was to him, but still an important person.

Then we have in the last Olympian, Percy using Nico as an example why Children of Hades shouldn't be treated as Pariahs. Because if not for him and the reinforcements his powers brought (not even counting the three whole deities he brought along) the casualties would have been higher. (It was Hades who locked Percy up. He even confirms that Nico hadn't had a clue. Nico in turn broke him out and got himself in trouble. Then in a turn of events, Percy starts to blame Nico for something that wasn't in his control. A reversal of roles so to speak. I had thought that it had been momentary anger on Percy's part, but apparently considering all the references to how Nico betrayed him in the HoO, it wasn't. He'd pushed it aside momentarily, it seems.)

Percy was not to blame for what happened to Nico in the original series. Life isn't fair and it just happened to be extra unfair to Nico. Even then Percy went out of his way to look after the kid, to make sure he had a safe space.

This is the Percy who I liked. The Son of Neptune only emphasised this. Even without his memories, he took Hazel and to a lesser extent Frank under his wings. He actually recognised Nico in a vague way. Not just Annabeth (which is something else I have beef with. What about his mother? Why didn't he remember Sally till a lot later and even then he didn't let her know he was safe till a lot later?)

Then comes the Mark of Athena. He apparently told so many horror stories to the 7 that there was a debate on whether or not they should save a 13 year old demigod, the brother to one of them, from a preventable death. This wasn't like the Titan war were demigods could be the enemy. Then why was there even a debate? It's like all that loyalty disappeared. This is the guy that was once bullied at every school he's attended. Doesn't he know the impact of telling tales when people aren't there to defend themselves? To tell the whole story? Then House of Hades. Every single person in that ship thought that Nico was spooky, creepy whatever and all that poor kid was doing was exist. He made himself scarce, barely spoke unless necessary and even then they were like ew, creepy. It's like Percy's personal loyalty became loyalty to just Annabeth. Fuck whatever happens to anyone else. It upsets me.

The later books ruined Percy as a character. And I will stand by this.

25. “I would not be surprised if you got struck by lightning right now.”

Nico scowls at Leo when he says it, all gloomy child-of-darkness in the twist of his mouth and the scrunch of his nose. He's not half as intimidating as he thinks he is, something young still hanging around in the pettiness of how he hands out frowns. "My luck isn't that bad."

"I dunno," Leo drawls, folding his arms behind his head with a shrug. "You're kind of testing fate here, aren't you? I mean, fucking with the Chosen One."

"Jason is not the Chosen One. Not anymore than you are," Nico scoffs. It strikes Leo that even though he's a child of the Big Three, same as Percy or Jason, he doesn't think Nico's ever been Chosen for anything. And yet, he acts like it's something mundane and stupid, like having a Tesla, instead of something he'd ever be envious of. Leo was one of the Seven, and he wasted absolutely no time developing a complex about whether or not he was the important one. Nico makes it sound like the whole prophecy was just some stupid thing they did one time.

Instead of focusing on how that makes him feel, Leo grins and jokes, "Aw, you think I'm on par with Jason?"

Nico's scowl deepens. He turns his head, jerking dark curls out of his eyes. "Whatever. You shoot flames out of your hands, so sure. You can be a Chosen One."

He says it like it means nothing, but it kind of feels to Leo like it means everything. "You think I'm cool," he says gleefully.

"I did not say that."

"You think I'm cool," he sings, lurching forward to throw an arm around a squawking Nico's shoulders and drag him in.

"No!" Nico all but yelps, flailing to try and duck out of his sweet embrace. "Leo, you loser!"

"Hey, Jase! Nico thinks I'm cool!" Leo shouts, still trying to grapple Nico into a one-armed hug while he attempts, simultaneously, to wave at Jason. He's not surprised when Nico's palm hits his face and shoves him away, sending him stumbling backward with more force than he really expected.

"Nico, don't hurt him," Jason calls back, sounding pained.

The glare Nico fixes on him is fierce, practically smoldering in the face of Leo's laugh. "You are such a loser."

"I'm so cool. And we're best friends," Leo says, grinning back. And he thinks, when Nico's glare cracks, just for a second, that he might be right.

Notes: Set during the SAI era but Josh is real. I wrote this a while ago as a part of my prompts series. This is the first fix I've posted on here to don't mind any mistakes.

Being in Dema revealed a whole new side to Josh. Back in Trench, Josh was a stoic leader and he wasn't a man of many words either.

Dema seemed to have lit a fire in Josh. Whilst Tyler grew quieter and more withdrawn with each passing day, Josh only got louder. On their first day as prisoners, Tyler swore he'd heard Josh talk more than he had in their whole time knowing each other.

Back in Trench, Josh was quiet and sugar sweet, Tyler would have never thought that Josh was one to hate. Oh, how he was wrong. Every insult, every word, every syllable that Josh spat at one of the Bishops or their goons was laced with more venom than Tyler had ever heard.

Josh would fight.

Obviously the lack of filter led to, usually physical, punishments. Those deterred Tyler from following Josh and fighting aswell.

At the start, Tyler had begged Josh over and over again to, "Please stop fighting them!"

"I can't, Tyler," Josh had said plainly.

Tyler was so sick of arguing, that all he could do was sob into Josh's chest.

Tyler had stopped asking Josh to stop months ago.

The two never lost hope that the Banditos would come for them. They just didn't know when. They'd been there for six months.

The Bishops had decided that since both Tyler and Josh were 'very influential both inside and outside of Dema' that they should produce propaganda together.

They had been forced to form a band. It was a long term dream of the two. They both didn't want it to be like this.

Some days they would chain Tyler to his desk, he would only be allowed out once he'd written enough.

This only made Josh fight more aggressively and more often.

Tyler loved Josh but hated that he would fight. He hated how often Josh was getting punished.

As well as getting beaten, Josh would be starved and isolated. Tyler had lost count of how many times Josh had been smeared. Tyler hated it when Josh was isolated, it got lonely for him aswell.

Despite the cuts and bruises, Josh would always be there at the end of the day with some story or memory to lighten the mood.

Tyler remembered the day too well.

Josh had been dragged off for another punishment that morning. It had been hours, Tyler hoped he wasn't being isolated again.

The Bishops had given Tyler a day off, they'd told him it was for all his 'Good behaviour', whatever that meant.

Tyler had been laying on Josh's 'bed' since he'd been gone. He was half asleep when the door suddenly heavily swung open.

Nico entered the room and threw Josh on the floor.

Tyler waited for Josh's snide remark. It never came.

Nico mimiced a smile, "Hope you enjoyed your little break today. Back to work tomorrow, rabbit," he sneered then left, slamming the door shut. Tyler heard the lock and deadbolts click into place. They were in for the night.

Josh slowly got up and silently sat down next to Tyler.

Tyler waited for his usual 'How was your day?'. It never came.

Instead Josh took a shuddering breath and tears began streaming down his face. Tyler placed a careful hand around Josh's shoulders, trying to avoid any bruises.

"What happned?" Tyler whispered. Josh had never been this upset after a punishment.

Josh continued to cry. Tyler noticed that he wasn't making much sound. Josh was a loud crier. Tyler's stomach dropped. Even when he did cry he would always explain. Even if his cries were quiet, he would talk to Tyler.

Tyler slightly tightened his grip, "Joshie? Are you okay?"

Josh looked at Tyler helplessly.

"Can't talk?" Tyler got like that sometimes, distress and anxiety stealing his voice.

Josh slowly nodded before getting up and waking to Tyler's desk. Tyler watched curiously and stood to join him.

Josh's hands shook as he flipped through the notebook to a new page. He began writing something that Tyler couldn't quite see.

Josh's handwriting was nice. Maybe a little scratchy, a bit wobbly but nice.

Tyler heart lept to his throat when he read it.

'They took my voice.'

"What do you mean?" Tyler voice shook.

Josh pointed to the paper again.

'They took my voice.'

"Oh," Tyler breathed then brought Josh into his chest.

Josh cried harder. Tyler's jumper grew wetter and wetter with tears.

Tyler felt completely helpless. They had taken his voice.

Josh would fight. Well he used to anyway.

Hello! And yes I am a fan of httyd as well, it is one of my fav childhood movies :) Now I dont usually talk about races or other stuff on this blog, but since you asked, I gotta add some warnings first:

Please remember that these are mostly my personal thoughts, if you dont agree it is okay. You are free to add your own thoughts, but please be respectful. Okay, lets go-

I love Nico Parker and know her since her role in tlou. And I gotta say I dont like actors getting hate because I also got so many racist comments when I was a child too. I had a facebook account when I was 12 and you wont believe how people can be so cruel for someone's nationality. Thats why even today, I am rather secretive on my nationality, only sharing to people I trust and call them friends. So why would I be happy seeing actors getting the hate comments bcs of their skin color now? I would never blame the actors, but- I would blame the companies and todays "new era of televizion"

Whatever we like it or not, we cant deny the fact that they only do it for the new era, marketing. Look at Nico Parker, her face looks exactly like Astrid. If they give her a blond wig, she is Astrid. But they dont, also giving her braids. And the only reason is: To show us that she is black and would appear as so. They want us to see that. I hate live actions, because even though they do this for marketing and "diversity", they realize this would get hate for the actor, they are using them. And no we cant say "No it is not for diversity or wokeness". Well, it is since we see almost every og white character is getting race-swapped: Snow White, Ariel, Rapunzel, April from Tmnt, Annie the Orphan, Triss, Hawkgirl, Annabeth, Jimmy Olsen, Doctor Who and many more. I know, whitewashing is a big problem, but I dont think its ever a way to stop the racism. To me even, It creates MORE-

It is also giving double-standarts, because people flip when you even mention changing an og black character. Not that I support that either. "Their race has a meaning in the story!" You can change Snow White but you cant change Tiara. It gives the message "You can change white characters but you cant change poc characters". I am not fully white, but it is giving also racism to me. Not to mention, this new televizion era, tries to avoid blond characters, especially blond woman in any day. New httyd cast has 0 blonds and they are Vikings. Any blond character is replaced. Oh and people say "It is a movie about the dragons!" Well, these are all fantasies. Tiara has a talking frog yk? If you think that, that we should be able to change all of them.

But in today's televizion, race is everything to them. Everything has to be about race. Which is stupid. We all want to be equal, but now they made people look onto race only. Back then, we loved movies because of their plot, acting etc. But now, every remake only focuses on one thing: diversity, how to make it more diverse? Now I also love a good diversity, which means every races together on tv, which is amazing right? It is what we all want. But today, it changed all the meaning. And the only thing companies look for MARKETING. It is not fair to audience, it is not fair to the actors. I would prefer companies to stop doing live action but to make something new with diversity, with new characters who are white, black, latinos, Hispanic, Arabic, Turkish, Indian etc. Now that IS diversity. Not changing og characters to white to black OR change to black to white. Both of them are doing nothing but upsets the audience because people are aware the point behind it.

The worse part is, I think they know it wont do anything as well, but do it for money, using actors as shield. I dont think they deserve it, at all. Especially child actors would have that scars forever. Even how much people support them, at the end, the scars stay.

So yeah, this is what I think. Oh I gotta add, costumes looks like a school play kinda...Its like they only focused on Hiccup and Toothless. But we will see, I would watch it and then share my thoughts again ^^ Thank you for your ask :)

Y'know what I want to do?

I want to to create a "What if Kronos rose early" au(possibly a collaboration?). Because the Great Prophecy never says when Kronos has to defeated, never says if it is before or after he takes over. But if needed I could change the prophecy to make it fit better

Now this is by no means my own idea. I got the idea from multiple tiktoks and fanfics that presented the idea in iteresting eays that wanted me to make my own version.

Let ne explain below the cut because I do believe this will get lengthy.

In this universal, I believe a good majority of the characters we know would still exist because of the Fates. Most notably: the seven, Nico di Angelo, Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano, Grover Underwood, Will Solace, etc, etc. Because I do not believe the gods would disappear. Just because they are overthrown does not mean they are forgotten, many pagan mortals would still believe in them as well as the children they have. I believe they would simply go into hiding like many titans did when the gods took over. They simply hide away and occasionally have demigod chimdren in the hopes that one their children will help them overthrow Kronos again one day.

But that isn't the most important thing right now. The main story/idea for the stroy is all I have planned at the moment.

Our main characters are the big three children. We start our story with Bianca di Angelo at 19, Nico di Angelo at 17, Thalia Grace at 10, and Percy Jackson at 5. It begins seven years after the di Angelo's were released from the hotel, they were released about a year after Kronos took over because Hades didn't want to risk them getting killed or hurt simply because they knew nothing of the outside world.

I plan to have the story progress one year per chapter until Percy is twelve and then start following a timeline closer to the og books. Basically Percy turning 12 starts progressing canon events. It is by fate that certain characters die and all that, those type of canon events.

I honestly don't have much planned after that because I lost my original paper on the au.

So yeah, if anyone would like to help me or possibly collaborate on this, I believe that could be fun because I need more ideas and it is easier to create when I have someone helping me not put in dumb stuff.

It's kinda funny because w/ my Zeus kid OC (who I've been thinking about renaming as Araceli, 'cause it means altar of the sky, apparently, which I like 'cause sky-themed-ish but also like. A little bit I wanted something that meant cloud the way Coral's name means... Coral) the implication is that she takes after her father to an almost mirroring degree because I developed her and my other PJO OCs (who also all got retconned into an OG work) at the same time I was playing around with my ideas on the Big Six, and the gist at the time was supposed to show how the Big Six could've turned out if they weren't so weird.

So the dynamics of the friendship was supposed to be very similar to the dynamics of Big Six's relationship to each other (e.g. Mary having a major crush on Hera's "representative" but also being attracted to literally every other person that walked by, Nico being the soberminded big brother figure, etc). It's also one of the reasons Mary would get angry whenever someone would compare to her dad, because similarly I think Zeus would get angry if someone compared him to his dad.

And then eventually as I got older and the daydream moved around with whatever obsession I had at the time, the characters and general storyline began to change away from that in some ways but core features sort of stayed and so I ended up with a version of Zeus that ignores his daughter's pleas for help because he loves her but her pain hurts him because he can't do anything about it and it's his fault she's suffering.

She got this intensity from him, it's ingrained into the way it's ingrained in him. But he was able to rebuild the world according to his own needs and wants and beliefs. And she can't really do that. So he doesn't have any advice he can give her when she's on her knees begging for help with all the noise and pain in her head. He doesn't know what to do! It's like he can just go and rip it out of her.

But she's suffering because she's different and she's weird and she knows it and she knows it's his fault which is why she's asking but he just doesn't know and he can't handle watching her suffering and listening to her cry when there is no helpful answer to give her because "I don't know" isn't going to fix it.

He's supposed to fix things, he's supposed to have the answers. He's king of the world, by damn! He's a problem solver. He supposed to have a solution, and a million backup solutions. But he doesn't! There's nothing he can do to make the noise stop because truth be told, the noise never really stopped for him! It just got easier and quieter. So he turns away from her because he loves her and he's failing her and he can't handle that.

But also in the same breath, I think he recognizes similar aspects of himself in Jason, who isn't even asking for help, and fucking despises him for it, lol.

Anyways, I was wondering how/if you were going to continue to explore how Logan feels being a woman in her new life? Obviously, she's used to being one of the boys, but does that mentality ever cause her to slip up?

For example:

Would Logan occasionally forget that her body has changed? I mean, on OG Logan posted a lot of shirtless pics or stripped his race suit and fireproofs down in certain Williams videos, so he was comfortable like that. Do you think she'd ever forget and just take off her fireproofs after a session when she's exhausted and feels gross in the Prema drivers room without accounting for the fact that Oscar is right behind her and that she's a girl now? (Poor Oscar would do a very quick turn around and face the door until she realized what'd she'd done, but that'd take a minute imo)

Or during interviews when she's asked about her struggles as a woman in racing or when the press/fans/randoms are misogynistic to her, would she get thrown? Would others, like her PR person or Nico, point out things that Logan hadn't noticed because she's still getting used to perceiving herself as a woman?

Sorry for the deep thought questions! Just really interested in your take on things!

Omg, that’s a hard hitter if I ever seen one 😅 I've put it all under the cut, because I feel this could double as my dissertation...

To be honest, I hadn’t planned on explicitly exploring Logan’s feeling about being a woman now. At least not consciously. I’m very go with the flow with my writing rather than planning all out down to a T. When I’m brainstorming for ideas, I usually write what feels right and fits for my characterization of Logan in that very moment. But it will be a part of the broader character evolution I have in mind.

Broken down on just the gender aspect of things, right now Logan feels very content with being a woman. In my head there are three distinct Logans. OG Logan, AU Logan and Post-time-travel AU Logan who exists ever since the memories and experiences of the first two were merged in chapter one.

Our Logan, the post-time-travel AU Logan is well aware that she is a woman and doesn’t really mind it. I didn’t exactly write it out, but I imagine in those first few days where she was holed up in her room, unsure how to handle Morgan or her family, she had enough time to mull over her new identity and get acquainted with her new body.

Although she makes up only about one third of Logan’s overall part of herself, AU Logan had a higher impact on how Logan handles herself in the beginning. Because the challenges she faced as a girl in motorsport and her place in it, are the “newest” information. It makes Logan approach her goals for this life consciously and methodically. Up until now, Logan is not one to pull the big spotlight on herself. She is happy with following her plan and is fine with performing well but would do nothing controversial that would pull the focus too much. But over time, as she meets the people she knows from her past life, OG Logan’s characteristics will gradually come forward as well. Like in the scene with Jenson when she acts impulsively because she forgot that he doesn’t know her yet but is desperate to have a similarly tight relationship to him as she had in the original timeline.

So with time, I see Logan forgetting not that her body changed but absolutely the part about how the public’s perception on her body changed. Seeing as this is technically the body of AU Logan, who had insecurities concerning her body like every woman on earth, our Logan would be aware of them too and acknowledge them. But paired with laid back, content with his body view of OG Logan, it makes her feel confident in her body bc it’s not like she can change them. She can only love herself for being who she is.

So yeah, this is just a roundabout way to tell you, that if she can’t be bothered, she’d act first and think later. Her own comfort is in that case more important than adhering to nonsense patriarchal norms. It’s not like she’s naked, she wears a sports bra underneath, and a fresh shirt is quickly on hand. (So unfortunately, no sudden undressing in the boy’s Prema driver’s room but the boys could get the occasional glimpse of sports bra Logan in the hallway before she reached hers.)

Also, she wouldn’t change shirts on air, but the common after race move of pulling up the hem of the fireproofs to “air out” with the abs on full display, Logan would absolutely do as well. (I also see her getting community service at least once for this in F1 because MBS feels uncomfortable with women living their best lives).

Our girl Logan is also an avid surfer and still a Floridian, so bikini pics on Insta would be a regular occurrence. Her PR agent would eat this up too, because it fits Logan’s brand of being the people’s princess of motorsport or F1 in particular.

The two situations Logan would be out of her depth, even though she’s comfortable in her own skin, is one, when the media would really lock onto the supposed “blemishes” in her appearance, and two, when she has to interact with people in a “dressier” environment.

The first situation would probably arise when she has created enough buzz to gather the attention of the non-motorsport outlets. Like she could be ridiculed for her paddock fit in a dodgy fashion magazine or the common weight related articles paired with blurry paparazzi pics. And it would put her in serious distress because why do people care for this shit, why not go and criticize her for her objective race results rather than this subjective bullshit. It would also make her angry and see her snapping at journalists if they dare to ask her something related on media duty. Nico would be the one to point out to her, that although he can understand her frustrations, she can’t behave like this. But rather than make her shut up, he would ask her to tone it down, because it’s better to still show defiance without getting personal.

The second situation would be public events that aren’t racing related bc OG Logan is already one of the drivers that falls into the category that doesn’t really like this whole part that comes with the job. So when Logan now has to wear a dress or being otherwise dolled up would make her even more uncomfortable. I think her mom or Morgan or even Nicole could help her overcome that, reminding her that almost every woman feels that way and that it isn’t something she should feel bad about. In my head, that would also fit in with AU Logan’s part of the characters, since she’s a teenager. Because when I think back to how I was at 18, I hadn’t figured out yet that other girls also felt uncomfortable in those situations, even if they looked like the most confident creatures on earth.

I hope that answers your questions bc they definitely melted my brain 🙈 Not mad though, I simply had to take a few days to mull it over like Logan did when she was brought back in time 😉

Hell yeah I'll rank anything, I'll rank some of the main ships + the stuff i personally ship, but everyone can send me whatever/whoever and I'll rank them

1. Percy/Annabeth 7.58/10

It's a fine ship, they have chemistry and I'm completely alright with them being canon. I have a lot of nostalgia for them, but I won't actively look for fanart or fics about them cause I can just read the book yknow? But if they're together in a fic I'm interested in they would never stop me from clicking on it 👍

2. Nico/Will 3/10

Not my fave, they're there. They look alright together aesthetically but they just do not speak to me, never did :/ maybe it's because I've been shipping valdangelo since the dark ages (2013) but I just can't get into it. I've read fics where they've been a side pairing and liked them well enough but meh. Not for me, idk why lol. And no i haven't read that one book about them and I probably won't 🤷

3. Jason/Piper -11/10

4. Nico/Leo 100000000/10

I've been here since the beginning, I'm an og shipper, you have no idea what it was like to be 14, there were like 10 fics of them, no fanart, and I didn't even learn how to draw kisses good until i was like 17 so you can see how difficult this time was for me. I love then because the spite fuels me and also they have similar trauma and stuff😌

5. Piper/Annabeth 1000/10

They're badass, they're so very flawed, there's so many moments in the books where i just think. Wow they should probably have a romantic relationship about it. Plus i think they're very underrated :/

so, the twins are meant to be characterized straightforward in every anime adaptation, ig. it's not bad, but the manga twists their personalities 180° and it adds SO MUCH nuance (I'll talk about this at length some day)

tbh I had to pause for laughter when knives was YEETED outta the gate (I have sense of humor of a five year old)

MERYL/REM PARALLELS LETS GOOOO!!! like, I guessed this would happen, but the visuals, the tension and pure GRATITUDE in vash's voice when he was able to break free from his mental prison... we're eating good

speaking of eating, I CAN'T get over that moment when vash deadass BIT KNIVES. that's peak sibling behavior, he's literally fighting tooth and nail over there

also mashwood is so real tonight!! love love love meryl&nico interactions in stampede, they barely spoke to each other in other versions! and the look of relief on vash's face when he sees nico skedaddling away with meryl!!! he's so glad that they're gonna be okay and that nico made the right choice and came back to help, if briefly. interstingly, he was able to remember everyone, but after the explosion at the end he still lost his memory.

and THE WINGS, DUDE!!!! it gives the finale of trimax, when they both had only one wing left..... still missing feathers, but I love the diversity with knives's, eh... knives, and vash's energy/void or whatever that is, I support it

he's so pathetic even when he looks cool, homeboy had NO control when he used his wing for the first time... cudos for learning new powers on the spot tho

since I interacted with your donato mask post, here's my mandatory contribution and I'd like to know your opinion as Official Donato Expert™:

it's so sad to me that we never really saw all of the clowns just hang out together and I can't stop thinking about what they'd do and how they'd act. but we do know that Donato is really good with kids when he's not eating them and most of the other clowns are childish af so I like to think Donato sometimes falls back into his dad role when he's with them because he kinda misses it (especially because of Amon) so while outwardly denying that he's "sentimental", he sometimes catches himself treating them like surrogate kids (or at least having Dad Thoughts about them).

Yes, Donato's absence in both og 143 (inevitable) and :re 128 (criminal) is a huge loss. I would have LOVED to see more interactions between them all, especially with Donato, as we've barely seen him talk to anyone at all. (Uta. That's all.)

I tend to think most Clowns are older than we're presented so I can't really see Donato act paternal toward Uta, Itori, Roma or Nico - more like a friend that's a lot older (if I think Uta's older than we think and Roma older than we're told, I think Donato's way older than we think). Or at least, that's how I see it in canon (because Donato's the collective dad in, for example, my Mermaid AU where they're all his sort of kids except for Roma who's their sort of aunt), and I don't think he'd slip up acting paternal even if he did/does feel that way toward the Clowns (he's very weird about maintaining his image around them idk).

That said, I do think it's an entirely different matter when it comes to Souta. We've never seen Donato interact with him so I can think whatever I want and what I want is Souta to be the spoiled brat of the family. In my mind, Donato's half aware of the way he's acting around the little clown and tries to repress it - and I think Souta's aware he's responding to it - and when Donato sees Souta kind of needs it, he doesn't go all in orphanage style but he acts way more affectionate toward him. Not around the others tho. Never.

I would talk about Shiko here, since iirc he's even younger than Souta (?) but I think Shiko's just Roma's kid, when Souta's the Clowns' collective baby brother/son.

Okay so since Apollo hasn’t released music since like the 90s-00s ish time period I can’t imagine how shocked everyone is going to be at how different his newest album will be in comparison to the music he’s made before. Especially since he didn’t really get to have a hand in writing any of it and is now ofc older and has more experience. But imagine the haters??? Like imaging just going on a tangent about how someone’s fave artist can’t write lyrics and then he comes back and produces storylines like he’s Shakespeare. I’d be so embarrassed.

But I’d imagine it being like if I went from listening to all of the first releasing of Speak Now and then immediately skipped to Midnights, like that’s a whole different person now. But I am genuinely so excited for Apollo’s full album, like I know people will be disappointed because he’s not going to be touring with it but I just know that the listening parties are going to be amazing.

And also just seeing the reactions of everyone as well, (like Latricia, Darren, maybe Leto, Zeus, the children, etc.) especially when it comes to seeing how they’re portrayed within the album as well. Like not exactly dedicating a song to them but you can hear the references to everyone’s character in some way. And in Zeus’s case I just like seeing him upset in general.

Oh and because Apollo won’t really be touring or having concerts to sing his new album live, will there be live studio versions of the songs? Or will any potential collaborating artists get the sort of ‘ok’ to perform a song they sang together and Apollo does that bit and relaxes the rest of the time?

And I almost forgot to mention in but whenever his album comes out I just know the Grammys are going to be good. That the album’s going to break records on Spotify. That it’s definitely going triple platinum in my room. But I can’t wait to see Apollo’s acceptance speech. Knowing that whatever you’ve created with your blood, sweat and tears was formally recognized is always a good feeling.

I’m kind of torn on whether or not I think he’d perform at an awards show though. I feel like the met gala is a clearer imagination to me but also I know if I were in tgol I’d be praying for a music festival to come around lmao 🥲

leto is unfortunately dead at this point, i think in some chapter of tyt nico mentioned how apollohad been silent when he learned his mom died, but his dad... oh he'll have a reaction alright. i prob won't cover it because i don't see him actually making his reaction public but i can just imagine him fuming LMAO

i think that there will def be some alternate versions, some live versions, though i'm sort of back and forth on whether apollo would actually release them. one thing i can say is that he 100% has a few other versions with original demos of the songs - like, how taylor did for ttpd and the og 1989? but like. its 2000's apollo recording these demos. and i think that those would definitely also be released eventually and it'd just add soo much to the album and how long apollo has been waiting to put this stuff out

i will say that there are no features on his album, though i won't rule out *any* live performances... potentially at a nico concert or at an award show ;)

"Tyler!"

Josh jumps between Tyler and Nico. Nico smirks and sinks the blade into Josh's chest. Once, twice.

Tyler pushes Nico away from Josh with his antlers. He slashes at Nico until his face is mangled, hanging off, drooping. Black and white paint gone, replaced with deep red. Tyler knows that Nico is dead. His blood is cooling. Breathing stopped.

He spins around to Josh, the blade is still buried in his chest.

"No!" Tyler drops to his knees next to Josh. "Josh! Josh!"

Josh hums and coughs, blood erupts from his mouth and drips onto Tyler's trousers.

"No!" Tyler sobs.

"Tyler?" Josh chokes out.

Tyler pulls Josh into him. He presses a kiss to his lips, earning a mouthful of blood from Josh. Tyler can't help but swallow it.

Josh falls limp against him. He's heavy. Dead weight. Dead...

Tyler jumps awake with a sob.

He's alone in his and Josh's shared tent.

It's just his now. Tyler is alone.

'We'll win but not everyone will get out,' he recalls saying. Tyler meant himself. Tyler was meant to die that day. Not Josh.

His chest heaves and he shuffles around the tent, pulling on one of Josh's hoodies. It was his favourite, soft green, striped with yellow tape. It didn't smell like him anymore. No matter how often Tyler sat in front of the fire, no matter how long Tyler didn't wash it. Nothing could save Josh's scent.

Tyler sobs. He chokes and crumbles to the floor. Josh isn't there to pick him up. Keep him stable.

"I-it should have been me," he cries.

Tyler can't bring himself to move. He lies on the cold floor, alone. He's alone.

"Should have been me," he repeats, "should have been me."

Tyler cries himself to sleep. It's nothing new.

Tyler wakes up outside.

No. Not outside. There's no ground.

He's surrounded by darkness. Dark blue, almost black floods his vision.

"Hello?" Tyler whispers, testing his voice. "Hello!?" He shouts into the abyss.

"Hey," a too-familiar voice says. It surrounds him. Tyler whips around.

Specks of light fill his vision. "Hello!?" He repeats. They're stars. Twinkling, far away. Something draws Tyler towards them. He pulls himself off the floor and runs.

This feels right. He's moving away from the darkness. Stars highlight the blue. Oranges, yellows, and reds compliment it.

There's a figure. Maybe. Something much bigger than Tyler.

Tyler slows down. What if he scares it? Whatever this is. It seems important.

He walks towards it. Tears spring to his eyes as he finally recognises him.

It's Josh. Josh is... Big. He's huge, Tyler doesn't know just how big but Josh could easily be the size of a building. He's lying on his front, looking at Tyler through half-lidded eyes. He lazily kicks his feet in the air. Stardust falls from them. Josh's hair curls around his head like a halo, it's littered with highlights. What was once borderline black has become a chestnut brown, striped with whites, yellows, and oranges. The delicate rings in Josh's nose reflect the stars around him. His freckles form constellations over his nose and cheeks. All over his body really, he stares further down at Josh's chest. It's pressed to the 'floor' but Tyler can see the constellations barely peeking out. They softly glow, just like the rest of him. Plump lips are parted to expose white teeth, they're the same shade of red as Josh's cheeks.

Tyler gasps. Josh is beautiful.

"Josh!" He knows that this is a dream. He'll wake up soon, alone again.

"This isn't a dream, honey," Had he said that out loud? Josh smiles. Tyler's heart leaps to his throat. Fuck, he's pretty. Tyler's cheeks flush, bright red.

"You're just as beautiful as the day I lost you," he whispers, stunned by his boyfriend. Josh had always been pretty. There's something different here though, just the two of them. Maybe it's the stars in Josh's eyes, molten, glowing a soft orange. Maybe it's the way that his hair frames his face, curling around his cheeks. Gravity feels different here. Tyler doesn't know how to explain it. Everything is light.

Tyler thinks that Josh could pick him up like a Barbie doll. Grip his middle and shake him around.

"I never left you," Josh says softly. That's what he is now, soft. Tyler wishes he could stay here forever. Josh is free to be soft, it's just how he's always supposed to be. Tyler wishes that there wasn't ever a Dema. They took Josh, sharpened his soft edges. That killed him. Tyler's lover, his best friend.

Tyler nervously places a hand on Josh's face. Before it would envelop him, cover half his lovely face right up. Now it barely covers half his cheek. Josh sighs, just how he did back in Trench. It's so familiar, so intimate that tears begin to slip down Tyler's cheeks.

Josh shushes him, petting Tyler's hair with his finger.

"So pretty," Tyler sobs, his voice wobbling, "So, so pretty."

"I've been watching over you, Tyler," The way Josh says his name makes Tyler's heart burst with affection and chest shudder with sobs. "It's alright, baby."

Josh's whispers have the opposite affect as Tyler crumbles to the ground, still sobbing. Josh sniffles, "Please don't cry, you're making me cry."

Tyler can't help but stare up, eyes wide, as the stars melt down Josh's cheeks. His tears glow softly against the dark background of wherever they are.

"P-pretty," Tyler repeats. Tyler wants to kiss Josh. Pull him down just like he did back in their shared tent. Tyler is too small. Instead he opts to press a kiss to the corner of Josh's mouth. Josh giggles as Tyler reaches up and wipes his cheeks. Tyler's hand comes away glowing like everything around them. Tyler stares at his hand in awe, Josh always brought light to Tyler's life. He cradles his hand to his chest, the warm liquid seeping into the fabric of the hoodie that he's wearing. Josh's hoodie. Tyler thinks that it's crazy Josh ever fit into the thing.

"Let me try something," Josh whispers, "Close your eyes." Tyler immediately does it. How can he deny Josh anything? He screws his eyes shut and covers them with his hands. He hears soft breathing, then a gasp. He can see the light through his fingers, even with his eyes shut. He can feel it dance on his face.

A warm hand is placed onto Tyler's shoulder, "Open," Josh whispers in his ear. Tyler removes his hands from his face. He slowly peeks his eyes open. Josh stands in front of him. He's smaller. He's definitely taller than he was though. Josh looks around six and a half feet tall. It's Tyler's turn to gasp as he throws himself into Josh.

"I didn't know if that was going to work," Josh chuckles nervously, "This is all kind of new to me."

"Fuck, you're perfect," Tyler says then crashes his lips into Josh's. Josh hums happily as their teeth clash together. Tyler licks behind his teeth. He wants to taste the stars on his lips. In his mouth. They're everywhere.

Tyler peeks his eyes open. Josh's are still closed, thick lashes dancing on his cheeks. Everything about Josh seems to sparkle, the stardust is like glitter. It glints in the light around him. Josh is glowing brighter than Tyler's ever seen. Like the sun. Tyler's eyes fall shut again.

Tyler pulls away for air, Josh hums disappointed. He pouts and tries to reconnect their lips.

Tyler pants, "I-I still need to breathe, Josh."

Josh eyes Tyler's lips and laughs.

"What?"

"T-there's stardust on your lips," he giggles, "sorry, sorry." Despite the apology, Josh continues laughing, shoulders shaking, a hand brought up to cover his mouth. Josh's hair bounces along with his shoulders, so do the stars.

"Don't laugh at me," Tyler pouts. Internally he's melting. The sound of Josh's laughter softening him, heating him up.

Josh laughs so hard he snorts then he laughs some more. He giggles and falls into Tyler's arms, hugging him tight.

"I love you, I love you," Josh peppers kisses all over Tyler's cheeks. Each kiss makes Josh shine. Tyler is so flustered he can't do anything. He was just making out with Josh, how is this any different? Maybe it's his laugh. Tyler has never seen him laugh like this. In Dema, he was too scared. In Trench, he was too busy.

Tyler finds himself falling in love all over again. "I-I love you too," he mumbles.

Josh's laughter dies down and Tyler feels the empty space. Josh's arms tighten around him, "T-tight, Josh!"

Josh huffs and reluctantly let's go. "Cover your eyes," he whispers. Tyler complies. It's the same as last time, it's probably only been five minutes. It feels like time doesn't exist here though, maybe it's because he's with Josh.

Tyler feels Josh's light dance on his face. Can envision him, bright and beautiful. Josh gasps softly and Tyler peeks through his fingers.

Josh is panting quietly, flushed. The stardust he's made of steadily drips from him as he reforms himself. He's not quite whole, shifting and sparkling with the sky. Stardust peaks up behind him like wings. It circles his head like a halo.

"Y-You're an angel," slips out before Tyler could stop it. He moves his hands from his eyes to his mouth, muffling anything else that he could say.

"I didn't tell you to look, did I?" Josh laughs again, it's light like the stardust he's made of. "Sorry I can't stay small with you."

Tyler stares. He can't speak, Josh is perfect. He never needs to apologise for anything. Ever. Tyler didn't care about their obvious size difference. In fact he thought that it just made Josh even more beautiful. Or maybe Tyler was simply small enough to properly perceive Josh's every detail.

"You're cute," Josh says. His hand is held above Tyler's head, he sprinkles stardust in his hair. Tyler's head spins. His hands fall from his mouth, limp at his sides.

"P-perf-perfect," he swoons. Affection bursts from his chest, the stardust tickles his nose. Tyler sneezes and coughs, the fibres of light are everywhere now. He doesn't complain.

Josh moves his hand, "Too much?" he questions.

Tyler hums and shakes his head, "Never," he answers even though he has no idea how he's still standing.

"God, I love you," Josh breathes. He taps a finger on Tyler's head. Tyler hopes that more stardust will fall around him, but it never comes. "I shouldn't give you too much of that stuff, Ty, look at what it's doing to you."

Josh points his finger in front of Tyler's chest, expecting Tyler to take it. Instead Tyler leans forward and licks a fat stripe up the offered digit. Josh pulls his finger back and laughs in disbelief, "Christ, Tyler! You just licked me!"

Tyler is vaguely aware of how weird that was, even for him. He honestly can't bring himself to care. Josh's presence makes him feel high. He's drunk off of stardust.

To Tyler's dismay, Josh shuffles back. He whines in protest but can't move. The stardust has made his limbs heavy. He feels like his feet are glued to the ground.

"Shh, shh. No more, you're not thinking straight, honey."

The familiar pet name makes Tyler flush. He wants to kiss Josh again, or at least tell him how much he loves him. He can't. What was this stuff doing to him?

"Well," Josh starts, "First, I love you too. Second, I don't really know," Josh giggles. "Everything is so new to me. I'm glad that you're here though, Tyler. I've been so lonely."

Tyler's heart shatters. The thought of Josh feeling as lonely as he does drags the shards down to his stomach. At least he had the Banditos. Who did Josh have?

"I've got the stars, babe," Josh sighs. Wait. Tyler wasn't saying this out loud. What? Josh giggles again, "I just know you too well, Ty."

'No you don't, what are you doing to me?' Tyler thinks. He watches the words from his mind register in Josh's. Josh knits his eyebrows together and his hands find his hair. An anxious tic of his.

"S-sorry. I-I don't know what I'm doing. I shouldn't have called you here, I-" Josh says anxiously. The anxiety and fear crack him, his form crumbles and flickers. The stars dim. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"I-It's okay," Tyler tries. His voice is scratchy, he coughs up stardust. Tyler nervously watches his boyfriend try and calm himself down. His breaths are stuttering, just like the day Tyler lost him. Tyler almost can't bring himself to watch.

Josh covers his face, "Don't look at me!" he cries. Josh gasps as he drips stardust all around him. He moves further away from Tyler, "Sorry, darling, let me put myself back together for you," he whispers. "Cover your eyes," Josh breathes. Tyler doesn't hear.

Josh grows brighter and brighter. Tyler's vision whites out. He blinks hard a few times and Josh's form settles. The wings are back though. He drips stardust steadily. It falls like snow.

'I love you, I love you, I love you,' Tyler thinks. He's delighted to see a smile split Josh's face. 'Pretty boy,' Josh blushes, stars flashing red. It's beautiful. Everything about Josh is beautiful.

"So sorry for that, 'hard to control," Josh laughs nervously. Tyler wants to lick him again. "No, you can't," Josh huffs.

Tyler feels himself sobering up. His body isn't as heavy now anyway. He shuffles towards Josh. It's much easier to think than speak though. He could get used to this. Josh laughs again, Tyler would forever chase that sound.

'I don't wanna leave,' he pouts and looks up at Josh.

Josh frowns, "Tomorrow, baby. I'll get you back here."

'How do I know this isn't just a dream?'

Josh sighs. Tyler expects an answer but Josh simply fiddles with a star. Tyler thinks that if this is a dream, his brain has done one hell of a job. Josh is ethereal.

Tyler watches as Josh pulls on the edges of the star. He wraps it around his finger a few times. The star dust shimmers as Josh pulls it, again and again. He slips it off his finger and squeezes it. Tyler has no idea what he's doing but it's mesmerising. Josh blows on the ring. He offers his finger to Tyler with a sharp, "Do not lick me."

Tyler takes Josh's finger and Josh smiles. He slips the ring over Tyler's hand and squeezes it around his wrist. "It's a bangle," he says shyly.

Tyler admires it. It shimmers brightly, just like Josh. "So pretty," Tyler gasps, he doesn't know if he's talking about Josh or the bangle.

"Hey, you're talking," Josh smiles down at Tyler. "I'll miss you, see you tomorrow. Yeah?"

Tyler frowns, "Do I have to go now, really?"

"You need sleep, honey," Josh blows Tyler a kiss and a gust of stardust. It glows and softly drifts all around him. It's almost as pretty as Josh.

Tyler feels his eyelids droop, "I don't."

"Yes you do, I'll see you tomorrow."

"I don't wanna go," Tyler cries. He can feel himself drifting, falling asleep. He's getting further away from Josh and this perfect place.

"I know. Just go to sleep, honey," Josh runs his finger down Tyler's back. Tyler melts, already half asleep.

The last thing he hears before he slips away is Josh whispering, "I love you."

Tyler wakes up on the floor with what feels like the worst hangover he's ever had. He groans and brings a hand up to his face.

I just realized that I never fully said what my cats names are! So let's get started gamers:

First, our very first cat, the OG, was named Jasper. Then my aunt (she lived with us for a while when I was really little), brought in her cat Nico. There was this one cat that my brother kept for a while for whatever reason that we just called wormy. AND THEN there was Gordito, my friends cat who also lived with us for a while and just sort of became ours. (we shared custody of her) And now, I got Joey, Johnathon, Johnny, Juanathon, or Joseph if you're my mother lol. But, yeah! Those are all the cats i've had/sort of had over the years

Alright so I'm researching cat names because reasons. Normally I'd just do this on petfinder but petfinder makes me cry because all the cats look sad and my heart is shattered by the 4th cat in the scroll. Makes research hard. But you and your happy cats can help me!
